  3. amanda e. Says:

the main idea is basically what i think is the artists opinion…he or she might have thought that the presidency was stronger than anything such as underclassman, like people. middleclassman.

  7. Erin J Says:

The source of this political carrtoon is unknown but published in 1834. the main idea is that the kind is destroying the constitution and vetoing the laws. The symbols of this cartoon is King Andrew stepping on the ripped up constitution and him holding a veto law.I disagree with this cartoon because no person in office should have this much power.

  8. Mariah M Says:

This cartoon was drawn by an unknown artist in 1834 and published to an unknown source. The main idea was to show readers that Andrew Jackson has power over the connstitution and doesn’t care what it says. The symbols shown are Andrew Jackson in a kings outfit walking over the constitution. I agree with this cartoon because Andrew Jackson did have a scary amount of power over the constitution.

  9. MATTHEW Says:

This article is true becouse the king representing andrew jackson has to much power. he could do whatever he wants. I do not think one man should have so much power. The source of this artilce is unknown. It was printed in 1834. The sympols that are used are scroles of the consitution getting ripped up.

This was made in 1834. The artist and the source are unknown. The main idea of this cartoon is that Andrew jackson is the king and that everybody should do as he says. Also that he ripped up the constitution and threw it on the ground and he’s squeezing the veto in his hands. The symbols that are being used are the constitution and the veto andrew jackson as himself. I disagree with this message because people should have the right tio givern themselves and not be told what to do by some king that thinks that people should do what he says.

  13. brandon r Says:

  19. Rebecca S. Says:

This cartoon was published in 1834. The main idea if this cartoon is to say that Andrew Jackson is a selfish king who is disguarding the constitution. I disagree with this cartoon because a president is very different from a king.

I agree with this cartoon because Andrew did ‘stomp’ all over the congress and veto a lot of things. But, that said, not all people are “born to command” i don’t think he was.

  30. Annie Says:

I dissagree with this cartoon. Andrew Jackson should not have been able to become that powerful if our constitution was strong enough!

  31. Kody N Says:

  32. Emily S Says:

This cartoon was drawn by an unknown artist, and its source is also unknown. It appeared in the year of 1834. The main idea of this cartoon is to show that Andrew Jackson was being unconstitutional and not using his power as President to help all of the Americans. The symbols used in this cartoon are a king’s robe, a king’s crown, a king’s scepter, and a trampled Constitution to represent how unconstitutional he was being. I agree with the message of this cartoon because Andrew Jackson was indeed being very unconstitutional towards the Native Americans, by issuing the Indian Removal act.
